Something Red

I bought this dress some time ago from Oxfam Originals in Manchester. I'm so glad I found it! There's nothing more satisfying than trawling round a city all day and then FINALLY coming across one gem of an item.

Cochet socks:

- And I must say thank you to Sandy Rushton for kindly taking the photo for me!

Russian Blues

Okay; short and sweet is on the agenda today. This is the last week of the summer holidays (WHAT?!), and I have a not-so-negligible mountain of work to do before Sixth Form begins again. Being ill this past week hasn't helped with productivity - trust that to happen during the summer.

I've been experimenting with Pixlr recently (using their fantastic free online facility), and this was the outcome:

Dress: Primark,
Clutch: Asos,
Shoes: Dolce Vita,
Ring bracelet: New Look,
Cuff: H&M,

Still not 100% certain of the highly edited look.'s different.

Anyway, must be off -

Happy Friday!

A hint of school-girl

Cannot sing the praises of Pop Boutique enough. AWESOME store. Please, anyone with a stroke of interest in fashion must go there - it's an absolute gold-mine of quirky, vintage pieces. At the Manchester store, I was lucky enough to stumble across a dogtooth pinafore (yippee).
(It was a bit of a blustery day for photo-taking, so there are more than a few stray hairs flying about...)

Collar tips:

I really enjoyed wearing this outfit, actually. I love a good crisp-white shirt, me, plus I felt a bit cheeky in a pinafore - took me back to my Infant School days (oh, those were the times).

Anyways, must dash, I've got a recorded episode of The White Queen beckoning me...

Thirty degrees in long sleeves?

I'VE MOVED! To follow my latest posts, please find me at

Sorry folks - it has yet again been a while since my last post! I've just spent a fabulous week studying at Oxford University, living the life of a German undergrad (thanks to the wonderful UNIQ, who organised the summer school). The academic programme and city alike were just wonderful - I managed to get some really lovely photos (see below!).

I'm loving the weather in England at the moment - currently enjoying temperatures of around thirty degrees (Celsius, that is). Hot, but nice. You won't find me complaining. Although I will admit to being a little too hot in this dress, but as evening-wear it's perfect. And I can finally whip out the straw hat (hurrah)!

Dress: Asos
Shoes: Clarks
Necklace: vintage
Belt: River Island

And here are some of the Oxford pictures (I'm to the far right, in the white docs)!

I'm off again at the weekend to stay in an eco-lodge in the Yorkshire Dales (I've heard it's beautiful). I'm planning on being the full tree-hugging type for the week by avoiding technology, so I will try to post before I go away, but if not, I'll not be away for that long.

Turtle neck and Tassles

Okay, I could not resist sharing this...

A great thing happened today. Well, it's not that great. Don't get your hopes up.

I posted this look (below) on le Lookbook last night, and was just expecting the usual: a couple of hypes, maybe, here and there over the next week. But I actually discovered (much to my surprise) that Lookbook has featured me on its Facebook page. Exciting news for me. And over 1,500 likes (!). Usually manage a couple of hundred on Lookbook, so that was another great surprise for me. Anyway, here's the pic' (and the link):

Please take a peek at my Lookbook/Facebook page, if you've got a minute to spare.

G'night. x
